Shereen Jones is tasked with overall responsibility for Operations and Information Technology across the JN Group. She has over 25 years experience in IT, spanning multiple industries with significant focus on financial services, and has managed engagements in several countries, both regionally and across three continents.

She joined JN in 2006 as General Manager of Management Control Systems (MCS) and assumed the position of Group Executive – Information Technology, in October 2009. Her association with JNBS began in 1999 when she assisted with the implementation of the Phoenix Banking system as a consultant. She was appointed Assistant General Manager in February 2013. In October 2013, the Jamaica Computer Society presented her with a lifetime achievement award for outstanding contribution to the ICT Industry.

Carlton Earl Samuels has a distinguished career in the field of Financial and General Management. As Financial Manager and Consultant, he has worked in several private and statutory organizations, and was appointed Assistant General Manager at the Jamaica National Building Society in 2011.

In his capacity as Managing Director of the National Housing Trust from January 1998 to March 2010, Mr. Samuels was known for his financial acumen, professionalism and passion for excellence. In recognition of his outstanding leadership at NHT, he was awarded the National Honour, Order of Distinction (Commander Class) on May 23, 2006 for his contribution to the housing sector.

He served on several civic boards and societies thereby contributing to community and national development. In 1997, he was the recipient of the University of Technology (UTECH) Outstanding Alumnus Award and, in 2006 he received the Distinguished Rotarian Award from the Rotary Club of St. Andrew. In 2012, Mr Samuels received the Distinguished Cornwallian award from the Cornwall College Alumni Association.

With more than two decades of experience in banking, corporate finance and treasury and investment management, Curtis Martin joined the Jamaica National Building Society in July 2013, In his capacity as Assistant General Manager, Treasury and Investments, he is charged with advising the Group and the Board on treasury, investment and strategic issues and driving the profitability of the Treasury Division of the Society, while ensuring that the relevant regulatory and risk conventions are adhered to.

Mr Martin previously worked in a number of capacities with the Bank of Jamaica, Pan Caribbean Merchant Bank (now Sagicor), Capital and Credit Finance Group and the Jamaica Money Market Brokers. As Chairman of the Jamaica Stock Exchange & Jamaica Central Securities Depository (2006-2011), he led the diversification of the organization’s revenue stream through the development and launch of Junior Stock Market, JSE Trustee Services, JSE E-Learning Institute and the Caribbean Exchange Network (CXN).

Dana Morris - Dixon

Dr. Dana Morris Dixon was appointed Executive, Business Development and Research in June 2013 and will serve as the Society’s chief research officer, developing and driving the organisation’s research agenda. Dr. Morris Dixon is also tasked with indentifying and exploring new business opportunities for JNBS and its subsidiary companies to increase our market dominance.

She previously worked at Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMP RO), where she assumed the role of Acting President in March 2013 and served until her resignation. She joined JAMP RO as the Manager of the Caribbean, Latin America & Emerging Markets Department, on secondment from the Office of the Prime Minister in October 2009 and was appointed Vice President of Planning & Corporate Development in April 2010.

Prior to joining JAMP RO, Dr. Morris Dixon was the Director of Development Policy Planning and Strategy at the Office of the Prime Minister. She has also previously taught undergraduate and graduate courses, focused on international trade, finance, development, globalisation and Caribbean foreign policy at The University of the West Indies, Mona.

Joy Brady is a chartered accountant by training with more than eighteen years of financial management experience in the commercial industry and approximately twelve years of experience in auditing. She joined the Society in 2004 as Group Finance Manager and was promoted to Executive in August 2011. Her responsibilities include monitoring the financial operations and managing finance related projects for the Society and its subsidiaries.

Tasha Manley

Tasha Manley joined the Jamaica National Building Society in June 2011 as Senior Manager, Compliance, and was promoted to Executive in October 2014. An accomplished Attorney-at-Law and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, Ms Manley has primary responsibility for overseeing the global Anti-Money Laundering programme and the broader regulatory compliance framework for the JN Group. Former Crown Counsel in the Attorney General’s Department, Ms. Manley has, alongside the then Solicitor General of Jamaica, represented the Government of Jamaica before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in the United Kingdom in two significant matters: The ‘Janice Allen case’ (Millicent Forbes v The Attorney General) and the ‘Ezroy Millwood Bus Franchise case’ (NTCS v The GOJ).

Her exposure in the area of compliance begun when she served as an International Fellow at the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, a Federal regulatory agency in Washington DC. She has also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Development Bank of Jamaica, ensuring that the entity’s statutory obligations were met.

As Chief Compliance Office, Tasha Manley has achieved a number of important strategic and operational advances within the Group’s compliance programme including: consolidating and formalizing the Group compliance management framework, implementation of an automated transaction monitoring system, automating AML training for branch and general staff; ensuring a customer sensitive KYC program and advancing the Society’s regulatory posture with key regulators, locally and overseas. Ms. Manley also currently spearheads the organization’s FATCA (Foreign Accounts Tax Compliance Act) compliance initiatives and has positioned the Society as the forerunner among local financial institutions in bringing public awareness to this extra-territorial obligation.

Tiffany Gordon was appointed Executive, Mortgage Sales in February 2013, with responsibility for the Society’s national and international mortgage sales portfolio. She joined the Society as Senior Manager in 2007, with responsibility for the restructuring of the Mortgage Operations Unit. In 2009, Ms. Gordon was given the task of restructuring the Mortgage Sales unit within the Society, to include the addition of four island-wide Mortgage Centres and a mobile sales team.

As Executive, Mortgage Sales, she is primarily responsible for setting the strategic direction and initiatives for the Society, for the delivery of mortgage sales and achievement of sales targets, as well as ensuring compliance with banking and service standards, for product development, technology enhancements, loan quality and the implementation of Mortgage Sales initiatives. Ms. Gordon guides the management of external broker and real estate affiliate partners and works closely with Developers via the JNBS Preferred Lender partnership programme.

Tonya Grant Chief Internal Auditor for the JN Group, facilitates the accomplishment of systematic and disciplined methodologies to improve the effectiveness of the organisation's risk management, control and governance processes.

She has more than 25 years experience in internal and external auditing and has participated in diverse internal audit and Anti-Money Laundering conferences and seminars. Prior to joining the Society, she worked for more than ten years at KPMG.

As Chief Internal Auditor, Mrs Grant was instrumental in improving the level of efficiency within the internal audit function, by automating the audit risk assessment, work paper documentation, review and reporting processes. Automation has contributed to easier accumulation of data; sharing of department knowledge; and, consistently promotes audit methodology, through the use of templates; as well as, a central repository for audit programmes.

Keisha Melhado-Forrest joined the Society in September 1992 as an Insurance Reconciliation Clerk in the then Mortgage Department. Following a series of promotions, she was appointed Senior Manager – Mortgage Operations in June 2011, with direct responsibility for the JNBS Loan Processing Centre (LPC).

She was appointed Executive, Mortgage Operations in February 2013, and, in this capacity will lead the execution of strategic objectives aimed at expanding the Society’s mortgage business; and administer the portfolio in a manner that mitigates credit risk, supports income generation and adheres to regulatory and legal requirements.

Karene Miller joined the Jamaica National Building Society in June 2013, providing corporate secretarial services, legal advice and support to assigned entities within the JN Group. She was appointed Corporate Secretary on April 1, 2014.

She was previously employed as Corporate Secretary/Legal Officer at JAMPRO, where she served seven years and was responsible to provide support, legal advice and research.

As an Associate at Foga Daley & Company, she provided legal advice in the area of Intellectual Property primarily trademarks. She has served as judicial clerk intern at the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal.

Claudine Allen

Claudine Allen was appointed Executive for the JNBS Enterprise Contact Centre and Member Ombudsman in January 2015. In this capacity, she ensures memorable customer service delivery at all points of contact with members of the Society. She also serves as the Management Representative for the Society’s ISO 9001:2008 certified Quality Management Systems, ensuring adherence to standards throughout its operations. As the champion of the interest of members, Miss Allen and her team works to resolve customer issues, facilitates measurement and analysis of customer experience and leverages member feedback to inform the direction of the Society.

Miss Allen joined JNBS as Communications Specialist in the Corporate Communications department in 2006 and has also served as Special Assistant to the General Manager - a position she held for six years.

She brings to the Society expertise in corporate affairs and public relations, business administration, and advertising.

Onika Miller

Onika Miller was appointed Executive for Government Relations and Public Policy, Jamaica National Building Society in October 2015. She is mandated to focus on strategic engagements with government agencies and other public sector entities, develop strategies to identify and create new business for JN, as well as to maintain linkages with regulators, governing bodies and corporate entities.

Prior to her appointment, she served as Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister for nearly six years, where she provided technical and policy support to three Prime Ministers. As Permanent Secretary and Accounting Officer she was responsible for the direct management and control of the Office of the Prime Minister and for the supervision and oversight of the various public bodies falling within the portfolio of the Ministry. Ms. Miller also provided technical support and advice regarding the visits of Heads of Government/State to Jamaica. Additionally, she has on many occasions represented Jamaica in bilateral meetings with Government leaders of CARICOM countries and with Heads of State of several other countries.

Employed to the Government of Jamaica since 1996, she has also worked in several other capacities, including Chief Technical Director of the Office of the Cabinet and Director of the Local Government Reform Programme.

Ms. Miller was the Chairperson of the Policy Committee of the Permanent Secretaries Board. She previously served as a Board member on several Government public bodies, including the PetroCaribe Development Fund, Jamaica Social Investment Fund, Jamaica National Heritage Trust and Fiscal Services Ltd.

An expert in driving financial results and delivering outstanding customer service, Angela Fletcher joined the Jamaica National Building Society in May 2016 as Executive, Business Sales.  She previously worked in the financial sector for more than 20 years, at Citibank Jamaica, Dehring Bunting & Golding and with the Lascelles Henriques Superannuation Fund.

A member of the PSOJ Economic Policy Committee since 2014, Ms Fletcher achieved the BSc, Management Studies from The University of the West Indies and a Masters in Finance from the Manchester School of Business.

Janice Robinson Longmore joined the JN Group in July 2014 in the capacity of Executive, mandated to support the JN Group Transformation project.   She was appointed Deputy General Manager of JN Fund Managers in May 2015.

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), she has a wealth of knowledge and experience in business transformations, investment and pension fund management, commercial banking and regulatory compliance. Mrs. Robinson Longmore has worked in several senior management roles in banking operations, auditing, treasury, pension fund and investment and mutual fund distribution in Jamaica and Canada.

Mrs. Robinson Longmore earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) and a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Calgary, in Alberta, Canada.

She is passionate about the need for ethical behavior in the conduct of business, the advancement of education, and child development and protection.  She also loves gardening, particularly the care and development of a variety of orchids and roses.

Mrs. Robinson Longmore is a Director of the Pension Funds Association of Jamaica, a member of the University of Technology, Undergraduate Course Advisory Committee (Faculty of Education and Liberal Studies), Committee Member (Family Life Ministries) and a Member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute.

With almost three decades of experience in Human Resource and Customer Service Management, for both local and multinational companies, G Andre Latty joined the JN Group in July 2013 as Senior Manager, Human Resource Development, at JN General Insurance.  He was promoted to Executive, Group Human Resources Development for the JN Group in May 2016.  In this role, he is charged with aligning the human resource function to the business strategy, through effective talent acquisition and management , performance management, communications, labour and industrial relations management and human capital analytics.

Mr. Latty previously worked in a number of senior human resources capacities with diverse companies, including Advantage General Insurance Company Limited, National Commercial Bank, Kraft Foods Jamaica Limited, Cable & Wireless Jamaica Employees Co-operative Credit Unit Limited and T Geddes Grant Caribbean Limited.

As Vice President, Human Resource & Training at Advantage General, he repositioned the Human Resource department to strategic partner status, resulting in the company receiving the Jamaica Employer’s Federation Employer of Choice Award in 2008; achieving the Honourable Mention Awards in 2008 for Best HR Innovation from the Human Resource Management Association of Jamaica (HRMAJ); and First Place Award – Best HIV/AIDS Workplace Practices from the Ministry of Health.

With more than 30 years of experience in the local and international financial services industry, Maureen Hayden-Cater brings a wealth of knowledge to the JN Group, with her appointment as Executive in October 2015.

Ms. Hayden-Cater, an exceptional corporate leader, has extensive experience in transforming business models into greater profits and productivity. She also has a proven track record in:

She previously served as President of First Global Bank and as President of the Jamaica Bankers Association for two consecutive terms. She also served as Corporate Bank Head and Country Risk Manager in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, for four years.

Miss Paulette Simpson has responsibility for Corporate Affairs for the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) in the United Kingdom (UK)   In this role, she seeks to initiate, manage and deliver strategies to enhance the organisation’s corporate reputation, brand, relationship with members and the wider community in the UK.  She has been instrumental in spearheading the hosting of numerous JNBS events, including:

  • JNBS Outlook for the Future, a series of annual fora, which features Jamaican Administration, Opposition Leaders, and heads of corporate entities, as the main presenters...
  • JNBS Caribbean Question Time, a forum for Caribbean people in the UK, which provide a platform for them to interact with local representatives of their respective communities...
  • Real Estate Expos and JN Members Meetings, mounted to inform and educate Jamaicans in the Diaspora...

She also provides support for The Voice, which has been Britain’s leading Black newspaper for the last 34 years, seeking to reposition the newspaper to achieve greater efficiencies and deeper market penetration.

Ms Simpson has held several other positions within the JN Group, including:

She has previously worked with the UK operations of National Commercial Bank, Jamaica and began her career with Price Waterhouse Coopers, where she specialized in business development, training and marketing for six years.  During that period, she was seconded to the Commonwealth Secretariat to develop and deliver a training programme for young women in business in Zambia.

Miss Simpson represented the UK community on the Jamaica Diaspora Advisory Board, and in that capacity advised the Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade for four years about issues relating to the Jamaican Diaspora in the UK

Simone Hylton-Chambers joined the JN family in 2001 as Business Analyst in the then Corporate Planning and Special Projects Department.  In 2011, she was promoted to Senior Manager, Corporate & Strategic Planning and in May 2016 appointed Executive, Corporate & Strategic Planning, JN Group.

With over 15 years experience in Corporate and Strategic Planning and almost two decades in the financial services industry, Mrs. Hylton-Chambers has a wealth of experience in Strategic Planning & Execution, Finance, Research & Analysis as well as Credit Management.  She is responsible for managing the strategic planning and budgeting process for the Society and its subsidiaries, and over the years has been integral in the development and attainment of significant organisational goals.

Lieutenant Colonel G S Prendergast joined the Jamaica National Building Society in January 2014. He has served as a Commissioned Officer in the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) for over thirty (30) years and was previously seconded from the JDF to the post of Commissioner of Corrections, Department of Correctional Services during the period 22 March 2010 to 30 June 2013.

He successfully completed an Officer’s Selection Board and joined the JDF in June 1983. He underwent basic military training and was commissioned in the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1984. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 1986, Captain in 1990, Major in 1998 and Lieutenant Colonel in 2005.

Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Prendergast has held a number of major military appointments, including Infantry Company Commander, Battalion Intelligence Officer, HQ JDF Assistant Staff Officer (Personnel), acted as the Training Major for the Third Battalion the Jamaica Regiment (National Reserve) and Commanding Officer of an Infantry Battalion. He was also appointed Standards Officer for the Caribbean Junior Command and Staff Course in 2002 and again in 2003.
