The recent addition of Dominica to the JN International Money Transfer last July (2008) bodes well for further expansion in the Eastern Caribbean. And, it is estimated that with new technologies improving efficiency for remittance companies, flows in the Latin American and Caribbean region have grown, netting some $200 billion in 2007.

This move is in line with recent World Bank recommendations geared at opening up the world market in remittances for competition, and relaxing government regulatory pressures.

The JN Money Transfer Affinity Card Programme is structured as a ‘Gift Aid’, in London, England. This card facilitates transfer of remittances; and by “affinity” will allow cardholders to donate some 50% of the transfer fees to a charitable organization of their choice.

The Affinity Programme was launched through a partnership with the New Testament Church of God (NTCG) in Handsworth, Birmingham, in the United Kingdom.
