The minimum amount of US$1000, CDN$1,000, CI$1,000 or Sterling $1,000 required for opening the account. Only International Postal/Money Order Cheque will be accepted.

A Customer Information Form (CIF) will be mailed to you upon submission of your full name and address to info@jnbs.com.

- The interest on this account is calculated daily and credited every thirty(30), ninety(90), one hundred and eighty (180) or 356 days depending on you.
- You invest your funds for 30, 90, 180 or 365 days whichever you choose (you may wish to reinvest your money at the end of the period)
- You will receive a Certificate of Deposit
- Investment is rolled over at current interest rate
- Transactions can be done at maturity date only
- Closure of Foreign Currency before maturity incurs a penalty i.e. 0.4% off the contracted rate on Certificate
- If a customer wishes to encash a term share account early, the penalty is 0.4%.
Pensioners will continue to enjoy a 0.1% premium above the stated rates (or 10 basis points) on Jamaican Dollar accounts only.
Where early encashment is required for J$ Account or Foreign Currency Term Share Account, the penalty applicable is 2% and 0.4% off the contracted rate respectively.
A statement on your account will be sent to you at every interest credit / maturity date.
