JNBS Invites UK Members to Join its Pioneer Club

Jean Look-Tong, JN Group Marketing, Sales and Promotions Executive

Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) is offering members living in the United Kingdom an opportunity to get attractive interest rates on their savings and be able to win a house in Jamaica through a new savings product, the JN Pioneer Club, which was introduced in that market.

Jean Look-Tong, JN Group Marketing, Sales and Promotions Executive, explained that persons in the UK can open the JN Pioneer Club account with a minimum balance of £500. An offer from June 11 to August 10, 2012, the Pioneer Club provides an interest rate of 2.5 per cent and all are invited to call now at 0800328037 or email ukrepoffice@janouk.com to register their interest.

” Interest will begin to accrue on the same day that the first lodgment is accepted,” she explained. “And, interest payment will become due and payable at maturity.”

Mrs. Look-Tong outlined that members may make a deposit of £500.00 and further lodgements within the 45 day period. She noted, however that no additional lodgments will be accepted after the offer period.

“This account may be used as collateral to obtain a share loan offered by the Society,” she said. “Members are able to borrow amounts of up to 80 per cent of the savings account balance at an interest rate of 6.5 per cent per annum,” she said.

By opening this special account, the JN Group Marketing, Sales and Promotions Executive said, members will get a chance to win a Seaview Heights townhouse at Great Pond in Ocho Rios, St. Ann; or a ticket to Jamaica plus, a weekend at Secrets Resorts in Montego Bay as Second Prize; and a Third Prize of a ticket to Jamaica and a gift basket full of Jamaican goodies.

The drawing will take place on April 30, 2013, and winners will receive their prizes within 60 days after the selection date. Airline tickets and hotel accommodation for the prize winner are subject to availability at the time the Second Prize is redeemed and Second and Third Prizes must be redeemed within one year from the selection date.
