The Annual University Scholarships
The Jamaica National Building Society scholarship awards to tertiary students were revised in 2012 to provide greater support to scholarship recipients. A total of 15 tuition scholarships, five each, are awarded to students in specific areas of studies, who have completed at least one year of studies at The University of the West Indies, University of Technology and Northern Caribbean University. These scholarships are tenable for one year.
Students, who are required to be members of the Jamaica National Building Society, are requested to apply for these scholarships through the scholarship office at their university.
- Applications are processed by the universities
- A Jamaica National representative is invited to participate in the final interview, prior to the awarding of the scholarship

Eligibility and Qualifications
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.3
- Be a student in the Faculty of Humanities & Education, Pure & Applied Science or Social Sciences (Management Studies)
- Be entering their second or final year of studies
- Be a participant in extra-curricular activities
- Be a JN Account holder (e.g. Target or Destiny Account)
- Demonstrate financial need

The University of Technology

- Be a student in the Faculty of Architecture or Building and Land Management
- Must be entering their second or final year of studies
- Be a participant in extra-curricular activities
- Be a JN Account holder (e.g. Target or Destiny Account)
- Demonstrate financial need
- Scholarship Duration: One year
Northern Caribbean University
Number of Awards: Five (5) Tuition Scholarships
Eligibility and Qualifications
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.3
- Be a student in the Faculty of Business or Natural and Applied Science
- Be entering the second, third or final year
- Be a participant in extra-curricular activities
- Be a JN Account holder (e.g. Target or Destiny Account)
- Demonstrate financial need
- Scholarship Duration: One year
