The Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) operates Representative offices in the United Kingdom, Canada (Toronto) and the United States of America (Florida) pursuant to specific licences granted by the Financial Services Authority (UK), the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada) and the Board of the Federal Reserve (USA).The JNBS Representative Office in Tamarac, Florida was formally opened in March 2003. The Office provides the residents of Florida with information about JNBS products and services.The Representative Office also facilitates mortgage brokerage and refinancing in accordance with the regulations governing operations in the United States.
The Office serves another critical function: providing a vital link to Jamaica for Jamaicans living in the Sunshine State, and keeping them informed about happenings in the island.
